Our Vision
Improve the living standards of the young school leavers from low income families, by developing their vocational and technical competencies.
Our Mission
Implement quality training programs to suit local and foreign labor market requirements and produce fully-competent technicians.
Our Policy
The students are trained to become a plumber, air conditioning technician, welder, electrician or electronics technician. There is also much attention for personal development, entrepreneurship and a course for computer training. The training at school takes 10 months. After that there is a practical training of 12 months ending in the final theory and practical exam. If they pass the students receive their diploma, recognized by the T.V.E.C. (Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission).

The remuneration policy
The work carried out by The Board is on a voluntary basis, the Board does not receive any compensation.
Report from June 2019 to - June 2020
The following tasks have been carried out during the period of June 2019 to June 2020.
1. 89 Students have enrolled for the 5 courses (14th Batch).
There were 73 students continuing the courses by the 15 th of March 2020.
ASVTC was closed on 15 th of March 2020 because of the CORONA virus pandemic.
2. We have provided on the job training for 59 students from the batch 13 during the 2nd week of June
2019. Initially we have planned to organize the awarding ceremony for the batch 13 students by the
end of May 2020.
3. We have awarded the L2 and L3 NVQ certificates to 59 students from Batch 12 in June 2019.
4. We have been awarded as a 4 star vocational training centre with regard to QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
SYSTEM by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.(TVEC)
5. We have been awarded the second best Vocational Training Centre nationally and the best Vocational
Training Centre provincially during the WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY (UN member countries
commemorate) from the His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka on the 17 th of July 2019.
6. We had the presence of two teachers and two students from Sondervick College, Veldhoven, Holland.
It allowed us to share both parties knowledge and expertise.(07 01 2019- 11.01.2019).
